Heated vests battery heated vests made for your brand

The heated vest is the volume product of the heated apparel category: it layers under a shell, over a base layer or on its own, and it is the first heated SKU most outdoor, workwear and motorcycle ranges add. ParkaForge supplies battery heated vests for men and women — quilted, puffer, softshell, fleece and workwear styles — to outdoor and workwear brands, motorcycle and ski shops, PPE and workwear procurement teams and e-commerce sellers, finished with your fabric, colors, logo and packaging. Heat zones, battery and controller are specified per SKU; this page publishes no temperatures, runtimes or certifications. Pair vests with heated jackets and heated gloves, or see the full specs & selection guide.

  • Quilted, puffer, softshell, fleece and workwear vest styles
  • Carbon fiber or graphene heat zones — back, chest, collar, pockets
  • 7.4 V battery packs or 5 V USB power banks, one-button controller
  • Battery and electrical documentation confirmed per SKU and per order

Heated vest styles we supply

  • Quilted and puffer heated vests — the best-selling outdoor style; synthetic or down-alternative fill around the heat panels, stand collar, zip hand pockets.
  • Softshell heated vests — slimmer, wind-resistant shells for golf, hiking, commuting and layering under a jacket.
  • Fleece heated vests — casual and mid-layer vests; often paired with a 5 V USB power bank for lighter weight.
  • Workwear heated vests — canvas, duck or ripstop shells, utility pockets and reinforced zips for construction, warehouse, farm and utility crews. High-visibility versions are quoted only with the visibility standard your channel requires confirmed per SKU (for example ANSI/ISEA 107 in the US).
  • Hunting and fishing vests — muted colors or licensed-print fabrics supplied by the buyer, quiet fabrics and battery pockets that clear a harness.
  • Men’s, women’s and unisex fits — separate patterns and size runs; women’s cuts move the chest zones to suit the pattern.

Heat zones, levels and controller

A heated vest is defined by where the heat sits. Common requests are a back panel (one large or two upper/lower zones), two chest zones, a collar zone and heated hand pockets; buyers usually ask for layouts from 3 to 9 zones, and a dual controller (front and back switched separately) is available on some platforms. Most vests use a single illuminated button with three heat levels and a color code for each level; app-controlled versions add a Bluetooth module and therefore radio documentation. Heating elements are carbon fiber pads or graphene film — compared in the specs guide. Temperature at each level is measured on the actual sample and stated per SKU, never assumed from a datasheet.

Batteries and runtime

Two power platforms dominate heated vests: 7.4 V lithium-ion packs with a DC barrel connector, usually chosen for workwear and outdoor vests that need more heat output, and 5 V USB power banks with a USB cable, common on lighter and lower-price vests and easy for end users to recharge or replace. Capacity (mAh / Wh), connector, cable length and the internal battery pocket are specified per SKU. Runtime depends on capacity, number of zones, heat level and conditions, so it is measured on the pre-production sample and only then written into your spec and marketing — see batteries, mAh and runtime.

Battery and electrical compliance — a process, not a claim

We do not claim that any heated vest or battery shown here is certified, listed or tested to a standard. Every program follows the general process in our specs guide: lithium-ion packs and power banks need UN 38.3 transport testing, an SDS and dangerous-goods packing before they ship; the destination market and channel decide which battery-safety, electrical, EMC and chemical documents apply to the garment and battery; and labels, warnings and care instructions are approved by your team. Labeling and claims are the brand owner’s responsibility.

No certifications, test data, temperatures or runtimes claimed. We describe what each product is made of, how it works and how it can be customized. We do not display certification marks or listings, publish test data, factory capacity or customer cases on this site. Test reports and certification documentation can be provided or arranged per order for the buyer’s market, as the brand owner requires. Every heated product contains or ships with a lithium-ion battery: battery transport (UN 38.3, SDS, dangerous-goods packing), battery-safety and electrical/EMC documentation is confirmed per SKU and per order with the supplier and an accredited lab before production. No medical or health claims. Labeling and claims are the brand owner’s responsibility.

Frequently asked questions

How many heat zones should a heated vest have?

It depends on price point and use. Entry vests often heat the back and chest; outdoor and workwear vests add a collar zone and heated pockets. Buyers commonly ask for layouts from 3 to 9 zones. More zones need more battery capacity for the same runtime, so the layout and battery are chosen together.

7.4 V battery or USB power bank — which is better for a vest?

A 7.4 V pack is the usual choice when you want more heat output and a dedicated battery; a 5 V USB power bank keeps cost and weight down and lets end users charge or swap it easily. Both are quoted; see the specs guide for the trade-offs.

Can you make a women’s heated vest?

Yes — on a women’s pattern with its own size run, not a resized men’s vest; chest zone positions follow the pattern.

How long does the battery last on each heat level?

It depends on battery capacity (mAh / Wh), the number of heat zones switched on, the heat level, the fabric and insulation, and the ambient temperature. We publish no runtime or temperature figures here: runtime per level is measured on the actual pre-production sample with the chosen battery and stated per SKU on your specification, and your marketing claims must match those measurements. See batteries, mAh and runtime in our specs guide.

Can heated apparel be washed?

Most heated garments are designed to be washed with the battery removed and the connector tucked into its pocket, usually by hand or on a gentle cycle and line-dried — but washability is a property of each SKU (element, wiring, connector and fabric), so the care instructions are confirmed on the sample and printed on the care label your team approves. See fabrics and washing in our specs guide.

Are your heated apparel batteries UN 38.3 tested or UL listed?

We do not claim any battery certification or listing on this site. Rechargeable lithium-ion packs and power banks need a UN 38.3 test summary, a safety data sheet and dangerous-goods packing and labeling before they can ship, and air freight carries extra limits. Many markets, retailers and marketplaces ask for more — for example a battery safety standard such as IEC 62133-2, a power-bank or battery listing for US channels, or EU battery-regulation labeling. Which documents apply is confirmed per SKU and per order with the supplier and an accredited laboratory, before production. See the compliance process in our specs guide.

What is the MOQ and lead time?

Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on the platform (an existing heating layout vs. a new pattern), fabric and color, size run, battery, logo method, packaging and the documentation your market needs; lead time depends on customization, documentation and season — heated apparel is a seasonal category, so autumn programs need to be briefed early. Send your quantities and we confirm both on the quotation — see also the packaging & MOQ section of our specs guide.
