Heated hat styles

  • Heated beanies — cuffed or slouch knit beanies, with or without a pom; fleece-lined versions for extra warmth.
  • Heated trapper hats — ear flaps and chin strap for hunting, ice fishing and outdoor work.
  • Heated caps — baseball-style caps with ear flaps or a heated sweatband.
  • Removable heat modules — on some platforms the heating band and power bank come out so the hat can be washed normally.

Heated band and power

The heat sits in a band around the forehead and ears — a thin carbon fiber or graphene element inside the cuff or lining — switched by a small three-level button. Power comes from a compact 5 V USB power bank in an inner pocket or from a USB cable for the customer’s own bank. Heated hats are often bundled with a heated scarf and power bank as a gift set. Runtime per level is measured on the sample and stated per SKU (batteries and runtime).

Warnings and compliance

No heated hat or power bank on this site is claimed certified or tested, and heated hats are not helmets or head protection. Warnings on children’s use and on use while sleeping are drafted for your market and approved by your team. Battery transport, battery-safety, electrical/EMC and textile documents are confirmed per SKU and per order through the general compliance process.

No certifications, test data, temperatures or runtimes claimed. We describe what each product is made of, how it works and how it can be customized. We do not display certification marks or listings, publish test data, factory capacity or customer cases on this site. Test reports and certification documentation can be provided or arranged per order for the buyer’s market, as the brand owner requires. Every heated product contains or ships with a lithium-ion battery: battery transport (UN 38.3, SDS, dangerous-goods packing), battery-safety and electrical/EMC documentation is confirmed per SKU and per order with the supplier and an accredited lab before production. No medical or health claims. Labeling and claims are the brand owner’s responsibility.

Frequently asked questions

Where does a heated hat heat?

In a band around the forehead and ears, inside the cuff or lining. The heated area is shown on the sample for your SKU.

Can the heating module be removed for washing?

On some platforms yes — the band and power bank come out so the hat can be washed. On fixed-module hats the care instructions confirmed for that SKU apply.

Can a heated hat be worn under a helmet?

Heated hats are not head protection and are not designed to be worn under a helmet unless a thin liner version is specified and checked with the buyer’s helmets.

Can heated apparel be washed?

Most heated garments are designed to be washed with the battery removed and the connector tucked into its pocket, usually by hand or on a gentle cycle and line-dried — but washability is a property of each SKU (element, wiring, connector and fabric), so the care instructions are confirmed on the sample and printed on the care label your team approves. See fabrics and washing in our specs guide.

How long does the battery last on each heat level?

It depends on battery capacity (mAh / Wh), the number of heat zones switched on, the heat level, the fabric and insulation, and the ambient temperature. We publish no runtime or temperature figures here: runtime per level is measured on the actual pre-production sample with the chosen battery and stated per SKU on your specification, and your marketing claims must match those measurements. See batteries, mAh and runtime in our specs guide.

Are your heated apparel batteries UN 38.3 tested or UL listed?

We do not claim any battery certification or listing on this site. Rechargeable lithium-ion packs and power banks need a UN 38.3 test summary, a safety data sheet and dangerous-goods packing and labeling before they can ship, and air freight carries extra limits. Many markets, retailers and marketplaces ask for more — for example a battery safety standard such as IEC 62133-2, a power-bank or battery listing for US channels, or EU battery-regulation labeling. Which documents apply is confirmed per SKU and per order with the supplier and an accredited laboratory, before production. See the compliance process in our specs guide.

What is the MOQ and lead time?

Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on the platform (an existing heating layout vs. a new pattern), fabric and color, size run, battery, logo method, packaging and the documentation your market needs; lead time depends on customization, documentation and season — heated apparel is a seasonal category, so autumn programs need to be briefed early. Send your quantities and we confirm both on the quotation — see also the packaging & MOQ section of our specs guide.
